NICHIA is the inventor of the super high brightness InGaN-based blue LED, having realized that breakthrough in 1993. On that basis we succeeded in 1996 with the invention of the phosphor converted White LED. Since then, our InGaN-based LEDs in a huge variety of emission colors, ranging from ultraviolet to amber, have substantially contributed to the diversification of LED application fields.
Aufgaben:
  • Mechanical product design of LED solutions, mainly for automotive lighting applications
  • Development and evaluation of mechanical design concepts based on system specification and customer requirements
  • Creation of CAD models and mechanical drawings
  • Conduct mechanical tolerance studies and measurements of products and components for mechanical evaluation
  • Document and present test results
  • Support in managing internal and external suppliers
  • Investigate and initialize industrialization activities in close alignment with our headquarters in Japan
  • Development and design of handling tools like product carrier and transportation systems
  • Support process development activities
  • Support in purchasing of new equipment and software
  • Support benchmarking, prototyping and product launch activities
  • Organize and attend technical meetings
  • Deliver input to product roadmap and improvement activities
Qualifikationen:
  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in 3D CAD design (preferrable SolidWorks)
  • Experience in creation of mechanical drawings
  • Ability to clearly communicate and document technical results
  • Interest in hands-on tasks and practical work, however driven by an attitude of accuracy, precision, reliability and safety
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • You are a team player
  • You work highly flexible but well-organized and highly motivated
